Extra Cash Online

Guaranteed Extra Cash Online

For college students and other people who feel burned out trying to balance paying the bills and living at the same time, ads like these can prove to be irresistible. Many of them make perfect sense and easily hook you based on good concepts. Unfortunately, many times the product or service does not match the brilliance of a great idea for making money from home or through the Internet. As I’ve learned myself, the further you go down this road, the more excited you get. You basically get hooked, and if you aren’t careful, you will end up working hard and falling further into debt than you can imagine. Much like gambling, the lure of easy money and independence can make just about anyone fall prey to work at home scams that feed off your dreams to get to your wallet so they can go on to the next victim.

Hopefully, you will never fall victim to these scam artists. However, the fact of the matter is that these scammers would not be wasting their time if they were not making any money. And as long as people continue to get mixed up in this business, these scammers are going to stick around to trick more and more people.

The best way to keep a scammer’s claws away from your credit card is to do thorough research on each opportunity that you are considering. This means doing much more than simply reading a bit about it online. In my personal experience, I have been taken by companies who were savvy enough to pollute the Internet with staged testimonials, guarantees, questionable references to big name endorsements, and even appearances in the Better Business Bureau.

A colleague of mine who invested in vending machine placement services even went so far as to physically go to the manufacturing plant to tour the warehouse as well as contact the Better Business Bureau of that state. What he received, in return, were twenty malfunctioning candy machines with a list of local businesses who had apparently agreed to receive them. Not only did none of these businesses know what he was talking about, many of them were hostile when he showed up to place them.

What you want to do is check message boards such as the ASK section of Another simple method of weeding out the scams from the genuine opportunities is to go to a search engine and simply type in the company name followed by the word “scam”. If you do this, and you are barraged by an endless list of complaints, you my friend have found a nugget of gold in a sea of mud.

In terms of the Better Business Bureau, it is best to contact them directly to ask about any complaints, and also find out how long a company has been listed. The Better Business Bureau operates state by state. They will be able to tell you if they have any complaints on file. If they do, you will want to avoid the opportunity at all costs. But if it appears that a company is doing business the right way, you can continue your own research.

Being in the Business Bureau is not necessarily that hard to accomplish. Many scammers can use their money and connections to set up a front to initially qualify for the Better Business Bureau just long enough for them to collect their cash from unsuspecting victims, close shop, create a new identity and start again.

Before you decide to do anything, attempt to get in touch with the company that you are interested in. Can you get a human being on the phone? Do they have an actually physical address? How long does it take them to respond to your e-mails, if at all? If you cannot even talk to the company before you start, there is not chance that they will be around when you really need them. I once made quite a bit of money selling vacation vouchers on auction sites. The marketing plan was sound, and the money saving vouchers was a hit. Only problem was, I could never get in touch with their customer service department to handle my customer inquiries and complaints once I realized that the promises that existed in writing on the vouchers were misleading at best. This proved to be such a problem that it took me over a year to recover from the negative publicity on my auction site.

Of course, there are legitimate home based businesses out there. With the Internet and all the low cost, web producing tools available, there seems to be a renaissance in entrepreneurship. Basically, just find a product or service you can market online, and do your research. Sell on EBay if you don’t want to build your own website. You can have a website their and all search engine marketing is already done by EBay. The Small Business Association has an office in downtown Tacoma and contains invaluable information on their website Since small business is the backbone of our country economically, sources such as these are eager to help you create a plan with realistic expectations.

However, like anything else worthwhile, you have to do your homework and work hard at it. The problem is that too many people make you think you can practically go online and make money just clicking on a mouse. You want to steer clear of any business that asks to you to pay for their “Top Secret” e-book that will teach you how to make an automated income.”

Think about it, if you are in dire need of cash, can you imagine any other situation in which you would not only work for free, but pay for the privilege to work. There are no magic formals or secrets worth paying for. All of the information in these e-books can be found for free through your own research if you have common internet skills.

If you don’t want to work hard and just make a few easy extra bucks without donating your blood or volunteering to be a guinea pig, it is possible to make some good extra money filling out online surveys or through mystery shopping. There are real opportunities out there which require no fee to get started. Not only that, several of them will even give you a $5 bonus just for signing up. If a company such as this is legitimate, they would be making lots of money through the success of its members. Companies that require that $49.97 start up fee only make money through the fee and only want to teach you how to get other people to do the same. The products are all useless lists and general information that anyone with a functioning mind could figure out on their own, or get for free by doing their own research.

Have you ever been asked that question? I was! Back in 1979 while doing a “pressure cooker” course on selling with an insurance company! I wondered how relevant that question was, considering my personal and financial situation at the time. No wife! No job! I was a solo dad with three children, one of them a baby less than a year old. “You must be kidding”, I thought to myself at the time! What relevance can that have to me learning to sell insurance policies? How naive I was! The course that followed had an unbelievably positive and a life changing effect on me. Although it only took affect several years later. The seed had been sown! You’re probably saying to yourself, “How can a course on selling life insurance have that much effect on anyone?” Well that Insurance Company was the one created by W Clement Stone. I found the course to be very challenging, because in New Zealand at that time we weren’t really aware of the “Hype” that Americans used to motivate their workers to perform at their optimum. It pleases me each time I think about it now, to know that I passed, top of the class and received a book as a reward, this book was already a best seller, but I’d never heard of it. Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, of which W Clement Stone was co-author with Napoleon Hill. They shared their secrets on becoming wealthy and having a healthy, productive lifestyle, utilising the power of a "positive mental attitude". Sadly my motivation and my persistence waned and I stopped selling insurance. I kept all the information, studies and the book I had won. The “BOOK” Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, which I never opened or read for probably 3 years. However I did continue two very positive things! I continued to read on a daily basis some of his quotes and I even put them on the wall. My two favourites were; “Success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep trying” and “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. The second thing and the one which I believed the most important was “Goal Setting” I enjoyed the challenge and had learned enough during the course to realise its long term value. Life began to take several steps in the right direction not major ones, but positive ones. Several important things happened in my life over the next 12 years. Around 1981-2 I began reading, Through a Positive Mental Attitude, I applied so many of their ideas and formulae, and by 1992 mine and my families life had completely turned around, this included a wonderful wife and two more children and a list of goals I had made in 1986 after father passed away, became a reality. I had arrived finally, or so I thought, and was ready to respond to the question that still continued to bother me after all those years. What Does RICH Mean To You? I had some answers! That’s what I believed anyway! 1 - " A consistent income created from hard work 2 - " A healthy family 3 - " A loving wife and loving children 4 - "A nice car 5 - " A great holidays There are other things, but they are either directly or indirectly related to the above list. Even now when I look at that list it seems to have “hit the nail on the head”. Then within three years it all slowly began to fall apart, business wise, thankfully not family wise our “Polynesian Inheritance” is so strong, family always come first! Where was I going wrong? What was I doing wrong? Whose fault was it? Why now when we seemed so successful? A myriad of questions passed through my mind, I began to blame myself, I was making wrong decisions. I had begun a downward slide a personal one that took away my mental fortitude, my belief, my self-confidence, I lost motivation, the thing that really hurts me when I think back is that, “I didn’t really care anymore” I began to think that the world owed me, I was a good person so for that I should be rewarded. What a “Pity party”, darn pitiful is all I can say now! After all these years I am finally getting back on track! I realise that age and the new generation means I can never be what I was back then, why? Well that’s the past and I now live for today! Not tomorrow! I have found a “Certain Way” that has been available to each and every one of us for more than ninety years. Probably what W Clement Stone and Napoleon Hill and thousands of others used to become rich, but forgot to tell us some very vital points, whether they did it consciously or just took it for granted that we would figure it out, I am really not to sure. Want to find out as I have??? The real meaning of what “RICH” is, go to my website “Right Now” and find out how you to can have a “RICH” balanced and fulfilled life with “Prosperous Equilibrium”. PS. Attitude Is Everything!

A Path to Wealth

by Sharman Lawson

Have you ever thought of your path to wealth? Have you thought about your wealth goals and how you plan to obtain them? This is the time to review and evaluate to see what your goals are, and how you plan to achieve them this year. The first step is being specific about what you want to achieve. Next, you have to take actions that will line up with your goals. But most importantly you have to start thinking and acting like the wealthy person you want to be. How in the world do you expect to get the wealth you want if you have the same attitude, mentality, and linger in the same negative environment? When I talk about wealth, I'm not just talking about money. I'm talking about surrounding yourself with like-minded people, having balance and peace, and lacking nothing. The Encarta Dictionary defines wealth as a large amount of money, abundance, assets, and well-being. Therefore, wealth is monetary, physical, emotional, and spiritual. A Path to Wealth can be a holistic experience.

Let's say you want to bring in $300,000 this year in new business, purchase real estate or be debt free by 2010. In order to reach your goal I suggest you ask yourself a few questions:

* Do you believe you are worthy of obtaining wealth?

* Do you need other expertise or resources to make your journey easier?

* Do you have someone to keep you accountable on your path to wealth?

* Do you have fear and anxiety when you think of money?

* Do you have a plan of action for each objective you need to reach?

* Do you have a system in place to meet your goals?

* Are you doing the necessary task and actions to reach your goals?

* Is your plan working for you -- if not, why not?

* What mindset, habits, spending, and saving patterns do you still have that are not supporting your goal?

* How can you think outside the box to create multiple streams of income to reach your goal?

* How much time and energy do you use to focus on the end result instead of potential problems?

Review your path to wealth. Be willing to change your thoughts and actions. If you need help, outside expertise or accountability -- get it! No more excuses. A Path to Wealth can be yours!

5 Tips for Tough Times!

by Sharman Lawson

Times are tough for a lot of people. With layoffs, less available jobs, a slow economy, and mounting debt, this is a good time to cut expenses, save, and start spending less money. Even when it appears as if there is no more room to save, there is always something you can eliminate, cutback on or find an alternative for. Keep reading -- Below are five tips that can help you scale back to find extra money in your budget to pay bills, pay off debt, and start saving.

Cut your phone bill
Get rid of your landline if necessary, use your cell phone for your long distance calls, get rid of the add-on phone features that you never use such as three-way, speed dialing, and call forwarding. Have only the phone and features that you absolutely need not just want. Do you really need a cell phone? If so, do you need all those minutes? If not, get a cheaper cell phone plan.

Lower your energy cost
Turn off lights and the TV when you leave a room. Run the dishwasher, dryer, and washer only when you have a full load. Turn down your hot water heater a few degrees, and save gas money by making fewer trips to run errands by doing more each time you're out.

Raise insurance deductibles
Raise the deductible on your auto collision insurance to at least $1000 if you can. If your car is older and paid for consider dropping collision insurance all together. Raise your deductible on your home and medical insurance to reduce your monthly cost, and stash the difference in a higher interest money market account.

Practice preventative maintenance
Get health and dental checkups regularly. If you own your own home change your furnace filter once a month, keep your gutters clean, and fix any minor problems before they become major problems. Do you own a car? Get your oil changed regularly to prevent repairs from taking place. If you rent, consider buying renter's insurance. Anything can happen, so take preventative measures now to avoid future loss.

Downscale your life
Look at the "things" in your life. Is your home too big? Get something smaller and less expensive or get a roommate. Is your car too expensive? Sell it and get a less expensive car with less maintenance and insurance. Are premium cable, multiple cell phones, and hundreds of movies and CD's stealing your cash? Prioritize, eliminate or cut back things in your life that are not necessary. Is eating out putting you in the poor house? Cook more, eat better, and save on food by buying groceries.

The bottom line, in order the get through tough times now and in the future, you have to determine what are real needs and wants. Then decide that your priority is to make sure your needs are taken care of for you and your family.

Try the above tips to trim down your spending. You will be amazed at how little adjustments and changes will free up extra money to get through tough times.
